Discussion to Develop Sri Lankan fishing industry and Indian Fisheries Industry
With the purpose of the development progress in Sri Lankan fishing industry as well as Indian Fisheries Industry main neighbor of Sri Lanka’s maritime region, A preliminary discussion for the preparation of a bilateral agreement & charter was held between the State Minister of Fisheries Ministry, Mr. Piyal Nishantha De Silva & The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Mr. Venkateshwaran on 14th of December 2022 in Chennai, India.
On this occasion, there was a discussion about how to develop the tourism industry based on the fisheries sector. And also discussed about the opportunities for foreign investments under the private- public partnership to develop Karainagar Boatyard which is owned by Cey-Nor Foundation Ltd.
Dr. Dulan Hettiarachchi, chairman of Cey-Nor Foundation and Mr, Indika Gamage, director of North Sea Ltd also joined this event.
